Collins Quarter

The Paris end of Collins Street. Synonymous with high fashion, beautiful boutiques and stunning architecture. Near the corner of Exhibition Street, tucked away in a lovingly preserved Victorian terrace is the swanky Collins Quarter which opened in 2007 and is run by Ian Hicks and Yuksel Yucetepe. Street side you'll find Doc Martin's, their bar specialising in apéritifs and digestifs.  Filled with suits, this is the place Melbourne's discerning East enders go for a tipple before they head home for the night, only to do it all again the very next day. It's also the perfect little nightcap spot after a meal. However with Colin's Pub serving up fine meals and Magnolia Courtyard out the back there's really no point leaving the building. On Friday and Saturday nights they also open the upstairs Ra Cigar Lounge where you can grab a nice Cuban from the humidor to enjoy while you nurse a fine whisky, rum or cognac.

A venue with an air of elegance and sophistication, you'll notice Zeb and the other bartenders dressed in simple black and white, very unassuming yet still highly capable. This is the place to have your own private James Bond moment with a perfectly executed martini, but one which should most definitely be stirred, not shaken.
