Forester's Hall.
Numbers are everything when it comes to Forester's Beer & Music Hall in Collingwood. This building has stood for about 170 years and you'll find 50 taps with 32 craft beers on offer at any one time. Open 7 days a week, if you choose to go on the weekends the cavernous space downstairs is packed full of brew lovers indulging on rustic Italian style pizzas available until 2am, or you can pop upstairs to Woody's, open until 4am for Picklebacks and a game of pool in the company of one of their resident rock'n'roll DJs. Worth a mention are the cocktails and spirits on offer up here too for those of you not wanting to drink beer.
The video was filmed at the beginning of the Feral Brewing Company Tap Takeover where this award winning craft brewer from WA commandeered all 50 taps with 32 of their tasty beers for three days, with some of them being sampled in Victoria for the first time in the biggest tap takeover in the Southern Hemisphere. Master brewer Brendan Varis took Feral lovers through a VIP tasting and he and the other boys who represent this fine microbrewery spent the night chatting and mingling with those present.
The atmosphere was electric with Feral flowing like it's never flowed before. It was a great night to be there to experience Forester's and even though it was crazy and hectic, Dan and his team really made sure to look after us. Full of fine beer and delicious pizza this place really made a great impression on us and just like all those taps, we left feeling like we had been taken over by Forester's.
