Here in Melbourne we may not have sweeping views across to an opera house or even an iconic bridge, but we do have that dirty brown river that we all love called the Yarra. It separates North from South and serves as a training ground for private school rowing sessions, but only recently did it become home to an urban beer bar named Hopscotch.

There are 30 rotating beers and ciders on tap so you'll never get bored, with some available in mini kegs to share with your mates, plus an on-site microbrewery called Frank which will be up for grabs to guest brewers to showcase their goods. The taps are a bit of a thing here with seasonal cocktail options ready to go for the non-beer drinkers, not to mention icy frozé out of the slushy machine and DIY kocktail kits designed for two. With a menu featuring bar snacks, baos and burgers, there's even a poké bowl and kingfish ceviche as well as a whole chicken dinner, but leave room for the nitro ice-cream bar with ever changing flavour combos.
