East of Everything

Camberwell, one of Melbourne’s most well established suburbs and also home to a great local shopping strip on Burke Road. It isn’t known for its nightlife, but if you live in the area or nearby, there’s nothing better than popping out for that cheeky beer with a few mates and not sitting in traffic when you could already be onto that second drink. So where do you go?? Well that’s easy, swing around the corner into Auburn Parade and take yourself upstairs to East of Everything. The place is pretty much hidden but if you stand back and look up at the building especially on a Friday night you’ll see a swarm of people on the balcony enjoying a few beverages and the city views.

Owned by siblings Genevieve and Michael Cotter who also have another venue in the basement called BarNone and others around town like Po' Boy QuarterPretty Mama and Gumbo Kitchen, you can expect Southern influenced food like Street Tacos, Quesadillas, Jambalaya, Chilli fries, and of course Po’ Boys which just happen to go perfectly with beer. These guys are known for their focus on craft brews with rotating taps and bottles of course, but there are also some killer cocktails for the non-beer drinkers.

Across the road from Camberwell Station, don’t assume this place is just for the locals. Whether you come from the North or come from the West, leave your car at home and get your drink on, because if you want to experience what the East has to offer, it’s just a train ride away.

In collaboration with Barrow Boys Brewing.
