Uprooted Projects - 001: At Birth
We all love a good story, but what if you could take it out of a book and put it on a plate? This is a tale that's told in stages, it's about taking you back to what the dining experience should be about, away from fads and fiction. It's all about the reality of what's put in front of you and the smells, sounds and of course tastes that give you lasting memories, just like the childhood stories you enjoyed so much. At Birth is the inaugural event from Uprooted Projects, held at Carlisle Wine Bar and brought to you by Tom Hope and Paul Turner, two experienced chefs who have travelled the world to fine tune their craft. Drinks were prepared by the boys from Menace To Sobriety with tunes from DJ BrownBear and an art installation by tattoo artist Christopher Kennedy with a feature in memory of street artist and St Kilda icon Jordan "Sinch" Porter (R.I.P SINCH MC Db Tko).
Every night that follows will combine quality food, drinks, art and music with each individually celebrated in a style that is very much like the boys themselves - cheeky, engaging, fun, but most of all cohesive and professional. It's all about creating a dining journey in order to form a shared story for the guests. Follow the guys so you can join the party and become a part of the story that is Uprooted Projects.
In collaboration with Tequila Tromba & Once Bitter.
Original tracks and mixes by DJ BrownBear - Blues In a Rose, Told You So, Stolen Soul.
