Rochester Hotel

We love our locals in Melbourne. From the greasy fish & chip shop to the crappy little milk bar on the corner, these are the memories we carry with us, and usually they involve eating and drinking. How lucky then are the people who live in Fitzroy to have the Rochester Hotel as their local neighbourhood rock 'n' roll pub with great beers on tap, quality cocktails on offer and the nicest staff to boot!

There's a bit of a nautical theme going on here, which helps considering it's also the home of Miss Katie's Crab Shack and luckily you can indulge in all her tasty food in the front bar or head out to the courtyard where you'll be greeted by a mural of the Mary Ellen, lost at sea and probably manned by a grumpy sailor who's run out of rum.

Affectionately known as The Rochey, it boasts a nice long weekday Happy Hour from 3pm - 7pm, Trivia on Wednesdays, DJs all weekend and a private room perfect for functions. It's the kind of place where you'll bring all your mates, make new ones while you're there, and that's exactly how things should be when you're hanging out at your local.

In collaboration with Plantation Rums.
